Printing Creative Door Hangers
Door hangers are not for hotels anymore. They can be created as gifts, sold as novelty items or they can also be part of a larger marketing campaign. Of course you can also make a few door hangers for your own personal use as well. Most people have come up with fun, unusual but effective door hanger designs used for those purposes. How about you? Are you trying to think of a creative new door hanger printing design? If you are then you have come to the right place. Below are a few aspects of door hanger design that people exploit creatively. These should give you inspiration when you start designing and printing door hangers.
Custom messages
The most common and obvious way to produce a creative door hanger is to change its message. Leave those “do not disturb” or “please clean this room” designs in the trash. Its time to think of a few catchy phrases that should make your door hanger and probably the room beyond it popular. A good way to start with this is to think of what is usually going on in that room. If it is your office then think of a creative phrase that relates to your work. For example, if you are a writer then maybe your door hanger can say “off to the writer's strike!.” If you are a bit of a megalomaniac, you can have the printed words, “off to conquer Canada.” As you can see it is nice to inject some good humor into these phrases.
Of course if it is a marketing door hanger you should relate the message with your business, project or campaign. You can have phrases like “Bob's Hardware, the place to buy doorknobs.” Or in terms of a campaign, you can have something like, ”Resolution 101 protects your home and your family Vote now!” Take note though that it is good to connect the message to the home, or the door. It somewhat reinforces the reason why the door hanger is there.
Changing shapes
Besides thinking of a good message you can think of changing the shape of the door hanger itself. Most door hangers have a loop or hole for the door knob, and then a piece of material leading down for the message. You can easily modify this to your own ends. If it is a Christmas greeting door hanger, why not change the shape to a snowflake? Or if it is for a personal room, you can have it shaped like a big lock to give the message that the door must not be opened. For awareness campaigns maybe you can change the shape to fit the issue you are advocating. For example, if you are soliciting for a fund raising campaign for orphans, why not have an orphan baby door hanger? Wouldn't that be cute? All in all, try to exploit the shape of the door hanger to make it unique and memorable. Trust us, it will work to your advantage.
Special effects
Lastly, you could put some special effects to your door hanger. Though of course this may increase the cost of its production. A popular door hanger would be a “glow in the dark” one. You can have it printed in luminous paper that glows in the dark and then you can add a radioactive sign on it. A “baby is sleeping” door hanger can have a small musical chip that plays a gentle lullaby. Also, an “Open me Now” door hanger can have blinking lights to catch attention. Think of eye-catching special effects like this should make your door hanger quite interesting.
So did that give you a few ideas? We hope it would. Door hanger printing is actually a versatile tool. So design them well and you'll be enjoying their benefits. Good luck!

Concrete hangers on ceilings?
I'm a young woman living alone, so I don't have much in the way of power tools/hardware. I want to hang a mosquito net over my bed. I think my developer mentioned that the ceilings were concrete though. Is there an easy way to do this without drilling a hole, etc?
to attach it to the cement would require drilling with a special drill and inserting special anchors.....I would google free standing mosquito nets..............www.longroad.com/cgi-local/SoftCart.100.exe/?E+scstore
